Despeauxrados (VS) Beech Bottom Falls, Sassafras Mtn., Cantrell campsite

Hike Details: We begin our hike at the parking area just past Chimeytop Gap. We start the day by visiting Beech Bottom Falls. After the Falls, we take the Foothills Trail to the summit of Sassafras Mtn. Past Sassafras, we continue on the Foothills Trail to lunch at the Cantrell Campsite. After lunch we return to vehicle via The Foothills Trail.

This group meets Wed at University Square Shopping Center. The specific hikes are described 1 to 4 weeks in advance and target hikes which are 10 miles long and climb 2000 ft. We hike at approx. 2.5 MPH, faster or slower depending on terrain.
