Weekenders (VS) Dupont State Forest

Our hike starts at the Fawn Lake Access to Dupont SF. We start on the Mine Mountain Trail, then connect to the Laurel Ridge Trail. Next we follow the Corn Mill Shoals Trail to Bridal Veil Falls. After viewing the Falls, we will visit the Dupont Airstrip for a view of the far off Pisgah Ridge. Next, we descend a gravel road to lake Julia for lunch at a grassy spot next to the Lake. Lastly, we follow the Reasonover Creek Trail back to the vehicles (we rock hop over Reasonover Creek two times). This hike offers a variety of settings along the way.

Hike stats: 10.9 miles, 1400 ft. elevation gain, pace approx. 2.5 mph.
