VS (Very Strenuous) Jones Gap

Beginning at the Silver Steps Falls Parking Lot (just past Caesars Head SP and the Raven Cliff Falls Parking Lot on highway 276), take the Silver Steps Falls Trail to Jones Gap Trail (we will visit Silver Steps Falls and Toll Road Falls), turn right on Coldsprings Branch Trail where most of our elevation gain will occur (it is steep) and join the Tom Miller Trail back to our cars. A variety of mountain streams will accompany our hike almost the entire time.

*An SC State Park parking fee of $8.00 is required to park at the Silver Steps Falls parking lot. Please see the comment section below as to where you can purchase a SC State Park Annual Pass.

Please be prepared for possible high humidity, bugs, mud, overgrown vegetation on the trails with some poisonous plants.

After the hike I will personally take a trip to downtown Travelers Rest. I smell pizza. Anyone is welcomed to join.
