(VS) Caesars Head - Raven Cliff Falls - Dismal Trail Loop

This hike starts at the Raven Cliff parking lot on Rt 276. This route combines the Raven Cliff Falls trail, the Gum Gap trail, the Natureland Trust trail, and the Dismal trail for a great loop hike. Begin by following Raven Cliffs Falls trail to Dismal trail down to Matthews Creek where we connect with the Natureland Trust trail cross on the new log bridge. We head up to the Cathedral ledge formation (very steep) and continue over to the suspension bridge at Raven Cliff Falls. The hike continues up and connects with Gum Gap trail to Raven Cliff Falls trail and back to the parking lot.

We will meet at University Square across from Mr. Salsa at 7:45 AM to form carpools and leave by 8:00 AM for the 45-minute drive to the Raven Cliff Falls trailhead.

If you prefer to meet at the Raven Cliff Falls trailhead, please arrive no later than 8:45 AM for a hike start at 9:00 AM. Please note if you do not have a SC State Park Pass, there is a $3 parking fee per car (honor system, so bring exact change).

The Trailhead Parking Lot is located on US-276W about a mile past the entrance to Caesars Head State Park.
