Description: Panthertown Valley hike starts at the Cold Mountain Gap Trailhead above Lake Toxaway. Hike to Tranquility Point on top of Little Green Mountain for spectacular views of the valley then to Salt Rock for more amazing views and on up over top of Blackrock Mountain 4400ft to Purdy Point for views of Big and Little Green Mountain. Then we hike back to the trailhead. We will also stop by several waterfalls along the way and lunch at one of the overlooks.
If meeting at Cold Mountain Gap Trailhead above Lake Toxaway arrive at 9:15 to be ready to hike at 9:30AM.
For those interested in post hike refreshments we will stop at the Grand Olde Station with views of Lake Toxaway.
