Route Logistics:
CheckIn: 10:15, to walk promptly within 10-15 minutes or sooner if all visible are ready.
Distance: 6.5 miles (or 7 miles if extending to see Bolam Hall at the end)
Start Point: Boathouse Wood Car Park (P&D), Bolam Lake Country Park, Unnamed Road, NE20 0HE, (W3W=slowly.release.grunt)
Drive: 35 minutes by car from Newbiggin Parkdean
Terrain: Lakeland, Forest, Rolling Hillside, all ascent is gradual.
Refreshments: Bring fluids & picnic lunch, there is no pub stop.

Bring: Waterproofs & Refreshments & Good walking footwear, and clothing to match the weather.
Guests: Under 16s & dogs (under control) may come as guests.
Route Leader: Either TBA or self-led with written instructions from an OS Guide Book

SAFETY: As with any outdoor activity, there is some inherent risk. Whilst we aim to avoid unnecessary risks, participants should take all reasonable precautions themselves. A suitable pace for the walk will be determined by the walk leader, which others must observe by keeping in visible distance, not forging ahead or lagging behind. Those attending are totally responsible for their own safety. You must be comfortable walking the specified distance in order to attend please.
DAYTRIPPERS: If not staying with the rest of the group, it is imperative to pass your contact details to the walk leader by 10/04/25 in the scenario that start place/time need to be altered at short notice.
RSVP COMMITMENT: Places are limited, so please only RSVP if you fully intend to participate. Withdrawals in the last 24 hours and no-shows are not permitted. This is aimed at preventing late decisions and changes.
