Walk: Tresaith to Llangranog (Coastal)

Mainly a coastal day adventure with sandy beaches and clifftops, and a few stops along the way. Extendable for anyone averse to swim stops.

EVENT NARRATIVE: This event is part of our Cardigan Bay Getaway for those attending as members of GO:Heart Of England

Route Logistics:
CheckIn: 11.00, to walk 11:10 promptly or sooner if all visible are ready.
(NB: Unless anyone positively confirms that they are travelling from the Midlands to do the walk on Saturday itself, we will meet at 10:00 instead)
Distance: Minimum 7.5 miles, extendable
Start Point: Tresaith Car Park, SA43 2JH (on right when entering village)
Parking: As above
Drive: 150m/3.5 hrs from Birmingham area, only 3/4 mile from our campsite
Terrain: Mainly Coast, with optional extras of headland & wooded valley
Refreshments: Bring fluids & picnic lunch, and also a pub or cafe stop mid-way (e.g. Ship Inn, Llangranog) and at end (Ship Inn, Tresaith)

ROUTE OPTIONS: The basic route is linear coastal between Tresaith and Llangranog with beach stops, totalling 7.5 miles there and back along the coast. You may add 1.5 miles by walking 0.75 miles twice from our campsite, or/and you may add upto 2.5 miles by looping beyond Llangranog to Ynys Lochtyn headland and back while others chill on the beach, and/or add 0.5 miles if we return partway inland to Penbryn.

BRING: Waterproofs & Refreshments & Good walking footwear, and clothing to match the weather. Swimwear also suggested
Guests: Under 16s & dogs (under control) may come as guests.

SAFETY: As with any outdoor activity, there is some inherent risk. Whilst we aim to avoid unnecessary risks, participants should take all reasonable precautions themselves. A suitable pace for the walk will be determined by the walk leader, which others must observe by keeping in visible distance, not forging ahead or lagging behind. Those attending are totally responsible for their own safety. You must be comfortable walking the specified distance in order to attend please.
DAYTRIPPERS: If attending this walk, but not as part of the group getaway, it is imperative you pass your contact details to the walk leader by 17/05/25 in the (unlikely) scenario that start place/time need to be altered at short notice.
RSVP COMMITMENT: Places are limited, so please only RSVP if you fully intend to participate. Withdrawals in the last 24 hours and no-shows are not permitted. This is aimed at preventing late decisions and changes.
