Route Logistics:
CheckIn: 11:30, to walk promptly within 10 minutes or sooner if all visible are ready.
Distance: Flexible, but assume around 8 miles.
Start Point: Rockbourne Village Hall Car Park (SP6 3NH) or roadside adjacent.
Terrain: Open land, commons and woodland as we pass some interesting features, including a stud, a manor house, a spring, and the remains of a Roman Villa.
Refreshments: Bring fluids & picnic lunch, and pub stop options at Cartwheel Inn (Whitsbury) or Rose & Thistle (Rockbourne)

SAFETY: As with any outdoor activity, there is some inherent risk. Whilst we aim to avoid unnecessary risks, participants should take all reasonable precautions themselves. A suitable pace for the walk will be determined by the walk leader, which others must observe by keeping in visible distance, not forging ahead or lagging behind. Those attending are totally responsible for their own safety. You must be comfortable walking the specified distance in order to attend please.
DAYTRIPPERS: If not staying with the rest of the group, it is imperative to pass your contact details to the walk leader by 28/04/25 in the scenario that plans need to be altered at short notice.
RSVP COMMITMENT: Places are limited, so please only RSVP if you fully intend to participate. Withdrawals in the last 24 hours and no-shows are not permitted. This is aimed at preventing late decisions and changes.
