GO: Matlock Getaway Evening Out with Hiking

Something slightly different by way of a getaway Saturday evening out to celebrate that extra hour provided by the end of BST. Matlock has plenty of excellent pubs including community micropubs, craft ale dens and traditional cask inns, all with a good vibe and good cellars.

Travel Or StayOver
There are frequent weekend trains between Birmingham New Street and Matlock via Derby, or the town of Matlock has a Premier Inn, Cottage Rentals, AirBNBs, and campsites available for anyone wishing to make a longer trip of it. We are also holding walks nearby on both Saturday and Sunday which are listed as separate events for RSVP purposes.

Matlock Pubs Worth Visiting
These are all located in a 500 metres radius, so we will choose a few on the night. We suggest starting 5pm at The Remarkable Hare for food, though Wetherspoons is also handy for a no-nonsense nosh-up, and spending up to an hour in some or all of the venues.
