Local Walk: The Lichfield to Chasewater Greenway

Not just a new route but a new greenway path complex, though after lunch we return across some ancient countryside paths.

Logistics:
Meet: 10:15 check-in, to start within 10 minutes, or earlier if all visible are ready.
Distance: Around 12 miles
Start Point: Congregate on grass verge outside Jiggers Whistle Micropub by the famous Brownhills jigger Monument Roundabout.

Parking: Either in the plentiful nearby streets (eg Great Charles St or Watermead Grange), or use Aldi car park opposite (P&D)
Terrain: Offroad greenway based upon former disused railway route, as described on Greenway – Visit Lichfield and plenty of open countryside

Refreshments: Picnic stop and pub stop around half way.
Bring: Waterproofs & Refreshments & Good walking footwear, and clothing to match the weather.

Safety:
As with any outdoor activity, there is some inherent risk. Whilst we aim to avoid unnecessary risks, participants should take all reasonable precautions themselves. A suitable pace for the walk will be determined by the walk leader, which others must observe by keeping in visible distance, not forging ahead or lagging behind. Those attending are totally responsible for their own safety, and must be comfortable walking the specified distance please.

Places are not unlimited, so withdrawing in the last 24 hours is impolite. Attendances shouldn't be compromised by ghosting (no-shows, late withdrawals).
