Typical northern landscapes of central Scotland. The rugged outward section is quite demanding and contains ridge sections. The homeward section is level alongside reservoir shorelines with the Flotterstone pub to appreciate at the end.

Distance: About 8 miles, ample given the terrain.

Drive: 10 miles or 16 minutes from EH12 9LR (Edinburgh Park Travelodge)
