Another splendid and varied walk route in nearby South Leicestershire, ideal for late Springtime, and only a short trip up the M42 for most of us.

Logistics:
Meet: 10:20 check-in, to start within 10 mins, or earlier if all visible are ready.
Distance: Around 10 miles
Start Point: Free Community Centre Car Park, signposted off Measham High Street, DE12 7HT
Parking: As above, else please park considerately around the village
Terrain: We follow disused rail track, canalside, lakeland, some pastureland and plenty of woodland as we route via Donisthorpe, Moira, Oakthorpe and back to Measham, with only gentle undulations.

Refreshments: Picnic stop and mid way pub stop in Moira (not for full meals) and an optional pub at the end.
Bring: Waterproofs & Refreshments & Good walking footwear, and clothing to match the weather.
Guests: Under 16s & dogs (behaved, under control) may attend as guests.

As with any outdoor activity, there is some inherent risk. Whilst we aim to avoid unnecessary risks, participants should take all reasonable precautions themselves. A suitable pace for the walk will be determined by the walk leader, which others must observe by keeping in visible distance, not forging ahead or lagging behind. Those attending are totally responsible for their own safety, and must be comfortable walking the specified distance please.
