Today we have two options on the leaving time. Either 07.25 or 08.36
Bus 57 back to Padstowe and then bus 56 to Porthcothan arriving at either 09.11 or 10.12 respectively. NB: there is a 50 mins wait at Padstowe for connecting bus so we have chance for a breakfast and / or coffee.

Todays hike is classed as Moderate and is 10.3 miles (16.6 km) long.
This stretch of coast, with its vicious rocks and wild seas, was once particularly hazardous for ships and responsible for many wrecks before the lighthouse was built at Trevose Head. The path leads in and out of little coves and headlands with fairly easy walking, with some steep steps to climb in places.
The stretch becomes fairly populated as we approach Newquay.

Depending on our finish time there are 4 bus options back to the Laurels Holiday camp.

15.42 Newquay bus station no. 92 to St. Columb Major Westways Filling Station 16.09 then no. 94 departing at 16.29 arriving at camp 16.45

16.20 Newquay Bus station bus no. 21 to Indian Queens, Band Hall 16.47 then bus no. 275 to Padstowe fork (camp) 17.17

16.40 Newquay bus station no. 93 to Mitchell Pillars Close 17.10 then 17.20 bus no. 276 to camp 17.56

17.12 Newquay bus station no. 21A to Brighton Cross Roundabout A3058 then 18.12 to camp arriving 19.05

Packed lunch and refreshments including 2 litres of fluids required. Water and wind proofs / hat sun galsses and lotion. Remember personal medication like hayfever remidies / inhalers etc.
Paricipants are expected to be resonsible for their own fitness, health and well being. We walk at about 2mph /4 kmph please lets stay as a group.
As with other days bus fares £3.00 per journey or £9.00 day ticket or £36.00 week's Pass.
