New route across stunning nearby South Staffordshire Countryside near to Yoxall, with several points of interest along the way

Logistics:
Meet: 10:20 check-in, to start within 10 minutes, or earlier if all visible are ready.
Distance: Around 10 to 11 miles
Start Point: Brakenhurst Wood car park (free) at Jackson's Bank, Newchurch, D13 8RF (www=bracelet, commoners, case). We've used this car park before.
Directions: Follow A515 from Lichfield to Newchurch, then turn left, and car park is on right after half a mile. Don't turn off A515 earlier.
Terrain: Gently undulating with woodland and open pastures and meadows. Much to see, since we pass Byrkeley Park, Tatenhill Airfield, St George's National Football centre, Rangemore Hall, Oakwood Nature Reserve, and Yoxall Lodge,

Refreshments: Picnic stop, and pub stop after about 7 miles.
Bring: Waterproofs & Refreshments & Good walking footwear, and clothing to match the weather.
Guests: Under 16s & dogs (behaved, under control) may attend as guests.

As with any outdoor activity, there is some inherent risk. Whilst we aim to avoid unnecessary risks, participants should take all reasonable precautions themselves. A suitable pace for the walk will be determined by the walk leader, which others must observe by keeping in visible distance, not forging ahead or lagging behind. Those attending are totally responsible for their own safety, and must be comfortable walking the specified distance please.
