Hill Walk: The Saddle Of Kerridge, Lima Clough, Rainow Hills

First time route in the splendid Cheshire Peaks, starting from the peaceful and pretty village of Rainow, incorporating The Saddle of Kerridge (pictured, which we first traversed in 2007), Lima Clough, and The Rainow Hills and more (which we haven't)

You are welcome to attend on a day-trip basis, or to stay overnight in Macclesfield, as we are doing, to combine Saturday and Sunday walking plus a Saturday evening social making a full weekend of fun!

Logistics:
Meet: 10:40 check-in, to start within 5 to 10 minutes, or earlier if all visible are ready.
Distance: Just over 11 miles
Journey: Approx 1.75 hours from Birmingham, less if further north, so you'll need to be moving before 9am, or else 10 minutes from Macclesfield to Rainow.
Start Point: Public Car Park, Round Meadow Road, Rainow, East Cheshire, SK10 5UB.
Terrain: Scenic Undulating countryside with hills, ridges and dales, farmland and woodland, streams and pools.
Parking: Either use the afore mentioned village car park or park roadside adjacent.

Refreshments: Picnic stop, and one or more pub stop opportunities mid distance in Bollington.
Bring: Waterproofs & Refreshments & Good walking footwear, and clothing to match the weather.
Guests: Under 16s & dogs (behaved, under control) may attend as guests.
Emergency Contact: 078.137.37.623, though not available for travel advice or routine lateness problems. Today's walk leader is Paul W.

Safety:
As with any outdoor activity, there is some inherent risk. Whilst we aim to avoid unnecessary risks, participants should take all reasonable precautions themselves. A suitable pace for the walk will be determined by the walk leader, which others must observe by keeping in visible distance, not forging ahead or lagging behind. Those attending are totally responsible for their own safety, and must be comfortable walking the specified distance please.
RSVP Commitment:
Places are not unlimited, so withdrawing in the last 24 hours is impolite. Attendances shouldn't be compromised by ghosting (no-shows, late withdrawals).
