GOD IS LOVING AND MERCIFUL

Everyday, Gay/Bi men face different challenges, some of which are caused by the negative view of homosexuality promoted by much organized religion throughout the world. Many gay/bi men have abandoned any attempt to develop any associatioin with God because of how so many religious groups portray God.

However, God is loving and merciful and, as He showed in his life on earth as Jesus, He had a special affinity for the oppressed, the poor, the destitute, the defenseless, the kind and loving among we human beings.

This group will provide a safe and loving space for gay/bi men to openly discuss their experiences with God and the religious organizations that purport to speak for Him.

I do not believe there is only one best way to have a relationship to God. God is infinite and human beings have not developed the capacity to fully understand infinity. In this group, you will be able to explore if you want a connection to God. If so, you may find a way to define your relationship.

However, I do believe that God is all Loving and Merciful as espoused in the New Testament. I believe it is important to develop our relationship with this kinder understanding of who God is.

Nevertheless, the purpose of the group is not to go in any one particular direction. It is to help all of us find our own path, with or without God.
