THE FCIP LOGO ORIGIN STORY
Our logo was designed with the diversity and creativity of our members in mind.
- The infinity loop represents, among many things, our appreciation for infinite creation, ideas and learning.
- The component parts of the logo also represent collaboration and kinetic potential.
- These elements all live in an abstract cubed space, which is a placeholder for their virtual environment.
Many thanks to John Patzman of 1KRobots for designing our logo and to the FCIP members who voted for this design to represent our amazing group!

See all- FCIP - Oct 17: Using MkDocs To Create Cloud-Hosted Markdown-Based WebsitesLink visible for attendees
★ This Meetup will be in-person and via Zoom. ★
HTML is flexible for creating simple to advanced websites. However, manually editing HTML or learning a website platform technology can be daunting.
Fortunately, Markdown can help turn that frown upside down.
- It is often necessary to “webify” a document (for example, software developer and user documentation and training materials).
- Markdown is a text file documentation format that is easy to use and can be converted to HTML for rendering in a web browser.
- MkDocs is a Python package that creates static websites from Markdown source files.
Join us on Tues, Oct 17, as Steve Malers explains how to use MkDocs to create cloud-hosted websites hosted on AWS and Google Cloud Platform. Many lessons learned and examples will be provided.
The presentation will start at 6:00pm with Q&A to follow. RSVP today!

- FCIP - Dec 5: Unleashing Inclusivity: A Roadmap To Web AccessibilityLink visible for attendees
★ This Meetup will be in-person and via Zoom. ★
Making the web as accessible as possible is an ongoing process.
For designers, developers and website managers, accessibility is an entire layer of planning to get from point A to point B that — if done right and at the right time — can yield tremendous benefits.
And to get from here to there, you'll need a map to help you along the way — one that's easy to follow.
Join us on Tues, Dec 5, as Ron Zasadzinski of CodeGeek shares with us a roadmap to help web developers and creators chart a path towards making the web as accessible as possible.
This roadmap includes a clear mental framework of:
- what web accessibility entails
- requirements to meet
- auditing tools and techniques to use
Bonus! Graden Sikes (also of CodeGeek) will be providing brief demos and resources to help you take your next step along the web accessibility path.
The presentation will start at 6:00pm with Q&A to follow. RSVP today!
*This talk is for designers, developers and website managers.*
