"Great UX" is what a lot of user experience (UX) professionals work on, what most users have come to expect, and what countless companies claim to create for every one of their products.

And yet, every day we see so many user experiences that are … lacking.

Why is that?

Join us on Tues, July 18, as a panel of UX experts tackle this question by discussing their approaches to practicing not only the art but also the science of UX.

Specifically, our three panelists will answer the following questions:

  • What mindsets are helpful as a UX practitioner to be successful and get the best results?
  • What approaches are helpful for collaborating across disciplines?
  • How do you bridge the gap between being hired for outcomes rather than the methodologies and processes that lead to those results?

Attendees will come away with a deeper sense of how experienced UXers practice "Great UX" and how to work well with designers to achieve those results together.

Our UX panelists include:

  • Jochen Wolters
  • Matt West
  • Marc Marius Mueller

The panel presentation will start at 6:00pm with Q&A to follow. RSVP today!

*This talk is for UX professionals and internet professionals who are UX-curious.*

MORE ABOUT OUR PANELISTS:
Jochen Wolters
Jochen is an explorer (mostly technology), designer (mostly interactions), and teacher (mostly design).

As a UX practitioner, he has worked on a broad range of products, including a high-end weather app for iPad, a web portal for a cell phone network platform, and a lab orchestration solution for genetic sequencing in cancer care.

Matt West, UX Manager at Case New Holland Industrial
Before entering the world of UX, Matt was a coffee house founder as well as a freelance graphic designer.

As a designer, Matt solved business problems with printed art. As his clientele expanded and technology advanced, he found himself solving increasingly complicated puzzles in the digital space. And then one day, he found himself with the title "User Experience Designer."

Matt has worked in video security and water monitoring, and now he manages a UX team he built, which creates web and mobile applications for the agriculture industry.

When he's not managing people, you can find Matt riding his bike, listening to records, watching his kids play baseball or skiing the Colorado backcountry.

Originally from Germany, Marc has lived in four different countries and worked on projects that cross industries and the Americas. This year, his projects span from Canada to Argentina.

As a UX researcher and facilitator, Marc's focus is combining human-centeredness with processes and systems to improve experiences for both customers and internal stakeholders.

In his spare time, Marc enjoys mentoring others as part of ADP List, a free volunteer platform that inspires powerful conversations and collaborations between mentors and mentees to help change the world with creativity.
