Yayoi Kusama + Sip
Details
Join us for a relaxing and creative afternoon inspired by one of the world's most beloved contemporary artists, Yayoi Kusama.
We'll begin with a brief presentation about Kusama's fascinating life and artwork. Born in Japan in 1929, Kusama is known for her colorful polka dots, immersive installations, and mesmerizing Infinity Net paintings. Her work has influenced generations of artists, and remarkably, she is still creating art today in her 90s.
After learning about her life, inspirations, and artistic style, we'll create our own Kusama-inspired mixed-media artwork. Participants will create an Infinity Net background and then add collaged flowers or mushrooms decorated with Kusama's signature dots. No experience is necessary—just come ready to experiment, create, and have fun.
All materials are provided.
This is a welcoming, beginner-friendly art social where creativity matters more than perfection. Whether you're an experienced artist or simply looking for a fun way to spend an afternoon, we'd love to have you join us.
