For fun and views without fail, let's hike Resthouse Meadows trail!

This is a new hike for Weekday Wanderers. This north-south trail starts above 10K ft, ascending the upper Bear Creek basin from the Echo Lake Trailhead. The first mile climbs gradually through forest, then descends to Vance Creek. This is the optional turn around point for the hike making a round trip of about 4 miles. The entire trail goes to Lincoln Lake (6.3 miles ONE WAY). Total elevation gain for the 4 miles is about 600 feet. Dogs are allowed but must be on a hand-held leash.
At the junction of Hwy 103 and Hwy 5, the trailhead starts in the Echo Lake Campground near the restrooms.
Expect some sun with temps near 80. BRING: Weather appropriate gear. Extra water. Emergency info and needs. Snacks for the trail and /or optional after-hike picnic. All are welcome
