Golden State Squares Social Square Dancing

We will start teaching dance steps/calls under the Social Square Dance program on the first night. Each week new steps/calls will be taught and build upon the prior weeks.

Casual comfortable dress attire is recommended. Since the hall is carpeted, we recommend either trying dance socks if wearing tennis shoes or trying smooth soled shoes. If dancing in regular tennis shoes, please be cautious and be sure to pick your feet up especially when twirling or turning to help prevent any chance of tweaking your knee, etc. The class is open to those 18 years of age or older.

Masks are not required but recommended to help prevent the spread of COVID, flu, or colds.

We will continue to teach new steps/calls to the new class member attendees. For those that were not able to attend the first open house event, we will teach the steps/calls that were taught that evening. For those who were able to attend, this will allow for a review of those steps/calls. New steps/calls for the second week of the program will also be taught.
