Out on the edges of the Third Imperium of Humaniti, the stars can look beautiful—right up until something goes wrong. The rich core worlds like to talk about order and prosperity. Out here, a ship is only as safe as the crew that keeps it flying, and help never arrives unless someone’s getting paid.
You’re Travellers: people with unfinished business, old debts, and a ship that’s seen better days but still flies true when it counts. It’s more home than any planet you’ve stayed on for long. Work is scarce, and clean jobs are rarer still, so you take what you can get—hauling cargo no one wants questions about, poking around abandoned wrecks, staying one jump ahead of creditors, law enforcement, or worse.
Every so often, a job pays better than expected. More often, it just covers fuel, repairs, and whatever broke this time. Still, every jump offers a chance at something better… or a mistake that leaves you lost in the dark with only each other to rely on.
The settled worlds are vast. The space between them is bigger. When things go wrong, all you really have is your crew, your ship, and the nerve to keep going when the warning lights come on.
So keep flying. The next job might set you up for good.
