D&D 5e - Out of the Abyss
Details
Note: this game is ongoing. If any spots become available, then the guest limit will be adjusted to allow that many people to RSVP.
You and several others have been captured and imprisoned by the Drow, locked away in a fort deep within the Underdark. Your captors have made it clear that a deadly fate awaits you at the Drow capital, and any day could be the day they send you to your doom. You are not alone, however, and perhaps you and your fellow prisoners can work together to make an escape…
This is a roleplay-heavy campaign run using the official WotC adventure “Out of the Abyss”. This is a long-term campaign, but new players can be fairly easily integrated into the story if you find you are unable to continue playing and a spot opens up. I am seeking a party of 4-6 players for this adventure.
About the game:
- Starts at level 1, ending around level 14. The campaign is organized in two parts, so if the party wishes to end after the first part (around level 8) then we can end there instead.
- Part 1 is estimated to take 6 months to complete. Part 2 is presumed to take about as long.
- Set in the Forgotten Realms, so Forgotten Realms races and classes are allowed. Homebrew permitted with DM permission.
- level up by milestone.
- LGBT+ friendly
- 18+ due to references to slavery, torture, and adult themes. Gameplay will remain SFW.
- Fairly serious and dark tone but can very easily be goofy at times.
- Games will be run every Monday at 6-10pm. This time can be changed depending on the needs of the group.
- $3/hour per player minimum table fee/DM gratuity.
About the DM:
5 years experience DMing for 5e. Started playing in college and have been online-bound since the pandemic, so I am eager to get back to playing in person again. I have run a handful of WotC adventures and modules, having completed 1 long-term adventure so far (Princes of the Apocalypse). My favorite part of the game is the role-play, so I tend to favor that kind of gameplay. I am a fan of homebrew content and will often look for opportunities to try out things that look like fun. I play DnD to have fun, so I do my best to ensure everyone else at the table is having fun as well, and I am not afraid to stomp out inappropriate behavior if I have to.
