Marches Adventurers' Guild (D&D2024)
Details
Player Experience*.* We will accommodate both new and venerable players.
Ruleset. Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition. All 2024 and 2014 rules and character options are valid, but 2024 rules supersede 2014 rules. I will apply some variant rules and we can work together if questions arise about mixing rulesets.
Homebrew. Homebrew is not banned, but I must review it for quality before it can be used.
Character Creation. All WotC-published options are valid. Some Unearthed Arcana is also valid. If you want to do something weird, let's talk.
Attendance. This will be somewhat West-Marches-esque, so players will be able to come and go without difficulty.
Setting. The setting is a homebrew "kitchen sink" amalgamation.
Style. This is primarily Heroic Fantasy.
Treasure. There will be very few permanent magic items at early levels.
Tools. Maps and miniatures will be used whenever possible. If you do not have a miniature, one will be provided.
Character Tracking. D&D Beyond is the recommended tool, but you are welcome to use a paper sheet if you prefer. I have a D&D Beyond campaign that you may temporarily join to facilitate character creation: https://www.dndbeyond.com/campaigns/join/64420671261092907
Cost. The store requires $5 per hour per player.
New Characters. Currently, new characters join at 3rd level. I suggest, but do not require, that you minimize multiclassing.
