Meteor Shower Watch Party on the Beach! π«ππ

The Perseid is the largest meteor shower in the northern hemisphere showcasing 90+ meteors per hour and what better way to watch it than from the beach! β¨
β’ 8pm CT / 9pm ET: Meet up
β’ 8:30pm CT / 9:30pm ET: Telescopes for deep sky viewing and constellation talks begin (next to the Pavilion)
Peak time to see the most meteors will be between 10pm-1am π
Bring a chair, towel, bug spray, snacks, flashlights, or whatever you need and enjoy these spectacular views with us from the State Parkβs beach. π«ππ
Bring a sweater or coat because it will get cold late in the evening
Entrance into the park is $7/π for in-state residents or $12/π for out-of-state residents.
The beach has restrooms and shower facilities βοΈ
*This is a parks event, so there will be more people in addition to our group.
