A high-level talk on Distributed System Design focusing on principles for
building large-scale systems and overcoming faults: through design,
automation, and incident response.

The talk is divided into four sections:

  • Architectural principles
  • Fault Handling
  • Service Management and Monitoring
  • SRE Role

Attendees can expect to learn battle-tested principles for designing
large-scale systems with an emphasis on efficient handling of the most
common types of failures.

The presentation will be 30 minutes, followed by a Q&A and then a social hour with other Google SREs.

This event will take place on the Google Sunnyvale campus and will be simultaneously cast via Google Meet. All on-campus visitors must RSVP no later than 2 business days in advance.
