Göteborg Socials and Afterwork Club

Våga prata svenska / Exercise in talking Swedish

A relaxed meetup for anyone who wants to practice speaking Swedish in a friendly and social atmosphere.

This is not a Swedish class, there are no lessons, tests, or homework. Instead, we simply meet, talk, listen, and help each other practice Swedish through real conversations.

Whether you are a beginner who wants to start speaking, someone who understands Swedish but finds it difficult to speak, or someone who already speaks Swedish and wants to help others, everyone is welcome.
We can talk about everyday life, work, travel, hobbies, food, culture, or whatever comes naturally.
The idea is to learn from each other, make mistakes without feeling embarrassed, and gradually become more comfortable using Swedish.

No pressure, no expectations, just conversation and socializing in Swedish.

Let’s meet Tuesday evening for a relaxed coffee at Steinbrenner & Nyberg (In Lindholmen). A friendly and comfortable place to meet, perfect for hanging out together.

We will grab some tables, get coffee or fika and enjoy a casual evening together.

After the coffee you are welcome to join the other meetup members at the bar events nearby.

We start at 17:15 but join whenever you want.
Open to everyone, please click Attend so we know who to expect.
Please also update your profile with a clear photo kindly so we can recognize each other and easily find each other. Do not be shy to call if you cannot find us.

Please remember to update your RSVP if your plans change, it helps us know who to wait for.
See you at Steinbrenner & Nyberg.

Come join us for another round of our Tuesday socials and drinks, the hotel edition once again.

This time round, we will be at The Social Bar & Bistro Lindholmen, located at Clarion Hotel Karlatornet, right next to Karlatornet. A stylish and relaxed bar and bistro with a great atmosphere, good drinks and a menu with burgers, pasta, salads and other tasty bistro favourites. Come on, join us for another relaxed Tuesday evening and enjoy some good drinks and good company.

Tired of the usual Friday and Saturday night outs in town where every place is jammed packed with drunk and rowdy locals? Tired of not being able to have a nice and relaxed atmosphere over drinks with new friends or friends to be from around the world? Then tire no more for our Tuesday hangouts to beat the mid week blues. Chill, relax, laugh, mingle, network and have fun over drinks with us this coming Tuesday. See you then :)

Please make sure your Meetup profile has a clear photo so we can easily recognize each other.

Please use the attend function so I know who to expect.

We will also take photos during the event, which may be used in our Meetup group.

The Social Bar & Bistro Lindholmen is located at Cassiopejagatan 14, 417 55 Göteborg, on the ground floor of Clarion Hotel Karlatornet, right next to Karlatornet.
