About East 8: Website (http://east-8.com) | Burpple (http://www.burpple.com/east-8-new-york-fusion-tapas-bar)

Reviews: SG Food on Foot (http://www.sgfoodonfoot.com/2014/08/east-8-new-york-fusion-tapas-bar-grand.html) | Seth Lui (http://sethlui.com/east-8-tapas-bar-singapore-restaurant-review/)

SINGAPORE MEETS NYC.

Being in the far east and serving Asian Fusion specialties, we capitalize "East" in our name. "8th Street" is an area in lower Manhattan in New York City, where you find many diverse Asian restaurants. In addition, the number "8" means luck in most Asian cultures, hence, the inspiration behind the name "East 8".

East 8 builds a bridge from New York City to Singapore with our Asian Fusion cuisine. The "East meets West" inspired culinary experience takes Asian dining experience to the next level with a modern twist.

Why tapas style? Conversation is customary in Spanish dining, yet is absent most of the time in other cuisines. We want to eliminate the idea that you and the plate set before you equal to a meal. We want to encourage conversation by getting our patrons to order and share different tapas. Tapas dining style is perfect for those on a date and for those who are simply indecisive in choosing from the menu.

Why fusion? We add a new dimension to our dining experience by introducing Western concepts into Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Thai and Vietnamese dishes. We focus on taste, quality and creativity in our Fusion tapas dishes and pairing them up with enticing beverages for a blissful meal.

How to RSVP:

Add yourselves to the attending list and leave your email + contact no. in the answer fields. I will then send you payment details for bank transfer. Those who pay the $60 ($90 if you will be having cocktail pairings with your meal) will be confirmed at the bottom of this page. Payments must be received by 8th March to confirm your slot.

If you'd like to cut the queue, pay via these 2 methods and send me an email with the transaction & date:

DBS Paylah users: send your payment to my phone number ending with 9***0827.

Paypal: send your payment +$2 fee to eleanor@coffeeandcravings.com.
$62 for just the meal
$92 for the meal + cocktail pairing

NEW!—sounds exciting right?! It's just a new rule unfortunately. Events will now run on "the early bird gets the worm" criteria. That means, those who pay first will get the first spots into the event regardless if you're in the "attending" or "waiting" list. Payment information will be sent to everyone who RSVPs. Those in the "attending" list who don't pay in time will be moved into the waiting list and vice versa. After many rounds of events, this is the best option I could come up with to keep events in momentum.

If you have any questions, please email me at eleanor@coffeeandcravings.com

See you at the event!

This event is specially organised by Gourmet Adventures (http://gourmetadventures.net) and Coffee & Cravings (https://www.meetup.com/Coffee-Cravings).

**payments are final by 19th March '15 for us to book the location. Unfortunately after this date we're unable to refund. However, IF there are demands for slots we can help to arrange for someone to take your place.

RSVP guidelines:

Only members in the "attending" list can attend. Those who are not on the "attending" list will not be entertained.

The naggy part of meetups… Usual RSVP rules apply! No shows will be marked as so. Last minute drop outs may be marked as no shows too. Members with "no shows" may be stopped from joining popular or "event" meetups in the future. If you need to drop out, please do so preferably 48hours before the event so that wait listed members are able to receive their notifications in time. However, IF you are in the waiting list and will not be able to attend if you're bumped into the "attending" list, please change your RSVPs to "not attending" too. RSVP squatters will not be tolerated. Thanks!
