Step out with GO London Hiking and follow a wonderfully green route from Chigwell towards Harold Wood, passing through the ancient woodland of Hainault Forest and the open spaces of Hainault Country Park. You’ll leave the bustle behind as the route moves through forest trails, wide parkland, quiet lanes and pockets of countryside that feel far further from the city than they really are. Along the way, you can enjoy points of interest including Hainault Forest’s historic woodland, the lake and open grassland of Hainault Country Park, Fox Burrow Farm and the peaceful green corridors that link the Essex edge of London with Harold Wood. It’s a varied and rewarding walk, perfect if you want fresh air, nature, good company
