We have a new venue (again)! 🏘️ This time will meet in the office of Xebia: a pioneering IT consultancy company.

Last time, among other things, we discussed using sqlc and working with SQL in general. This time, as promised, we will look at a different approach: ent, an entity framework for Go.

➡️ Wojciech Barczyński: Monitoring for Golang App with Prometheus (and Grafana)
In this talk, we will discuss the key aspects of observability: monitoring, logging, and tracing. We’ll cover monitoring best practices and demonstrate how to instrument Golang code using Prometheus and opentelemetry libraries. The session will conclude with a live demo showcasing the Prometheus/Grafana stack in action.

➡️ Paweł - I’m a recovering manager, former Go enthusiast who now just struggles to make the end-to-end tests meet. Former marathon-finisher, long time dad-joke-teller, in my spare time I try to rank down in CS:GO.

➡️ Wojciech - I am a VP of Engineering at Spacelift, a Golang developer, and a CloudNative practitioner. Spacelift offers collaborative management and a flexible orchestration platform for Infrastructure-as-a-Code. All our backend components are written in Golang, we use many CloudNative projects. Before, I worked and led engineering projects at Codility (a platform for remote tech hiring in an unbiased way), Hypatos/SMACC (Fintech/ML automation tools and SaaS), and LykeHQ (fashion e-commerce). I am also an organizer of Golang Warsaw Meetup.
