About us
Grain Walks: October Series
This October, we're back in the city with a new round of walks and conversations. Grain
brings together curious, open-minded people who like to keep evolving and want more
than small talk.
Each session centres on something that matters, like a decision you're weighing, a goal
you're chasing or an idea you can't let go of. Card prompts and games guide the
conversation somewhere honest, and you'll talk it through with new people along the
way. Expect to see things from angles you hadn't considered, and to leave feeling like
someone finally gets it.
We believe growing is easier alongside people who are growing too, and it's how life
starts to feel more fulfilling.
What’s on -
Hot Take & Tea
You’ve definitely got a hot take, and we want to hear it! Through thoughtfully designed
card prompts, we'll break down hot takes on life, love, career and everything in between.
There are no wrong answers, and the point isn't to win. It's to see each take from every
angle, have fun, and land somewhere with real substance.

Hills
No Regrets
Our dreams, side quests, goals, relationships. How many of them are quietly slipping
down the list because we're not making them a priority? And will they turn into regrets
one day?
On this walk, we'll use card prompts and games to figure out what truly matters to us,
and whether others feel the same. We'll talk it through 1-on-1 with a new partner at each
stop, and leave knowing what's worth making room for.
Thursday 15 October, 6:10 pm to 8 pm | Meet outside Barangaroo House
In Sync: Outdoor Partner Yoga and Goal Setting
In collaboration with Field Flo Yoga
Bring your partner and start on the mat. We'll move together in the open air as the light
turns golden, matching breath and learning to lean on each other, literally. Then, with
the sun sinking low, we'll turn to the bigger picture: what you’ve achieved together so far,
what you want next together, and how you'll get there side by side. You leave with a plan
you both believe in, and a reminder of why you're on the same team.
Saturday 17 October, 5 pm to 7 pm | Barangaroo Reserve
Philosophy Tea
Grab some tea and settle in for the big questions, with a philosophy card deck we
designed just for this. Each round, you'll draw a card and take it 1-on-1 with a new
partner, testing how the idea holds up in your own life: what makes a good life, what you
owe other people, what you'd never compromise on. The questions come from great
thinkers, and the answers come from you. You'll be surprised how differently the same
question lands for someone else.
Sunday 18 October, 10 am to 12 pm | Meet outside Bourke Street Bakery, Surry Hills
Side Quest
Three months from now, you could still be thinking about it. Or you could have done it.
This is the day we stop hoping and start doing. You'll be with people who are building
something of their own or finally ready to begin, just like you. Together, we'll turn each
side quest into a focused plan with a real deadline. Then we follow through: monthly
meetups, an active accountability group, honest check-ins and tailored sessions to get
unstuck when motivation dips (because it will).
You don't need it all figured out. You just need to decide it matters. We'll grow together
from there.
Limited to 16 people. To keep the group focussed and committed, share your side
quest in the registration form.

Side Quest: Make a Plan, Find your People, Get It Done
One liner: Your job is what you do. Your side quest is what makes you you.
What it is
Meet people by what they're building, not where they work.
Whether your side quest is a business, a creative project, a fitness goal, something you
want to learn or a way you want to grow, bring it along, even if it's still just an idea.
You'll turn it into a focused plan with a real deadline, then keep going with a handmatched crew of like-minded people and finish it together. Limited to 20 people.
How it works
- Come to the kickoff. Saturday 24 October, 10 am. Meet the group, share your
side quest, and see if it's for you. - Fill in your matching card. After you book, we'll send a short card: your goal in
writing, your intensity, how often you'd like check-ins, and when you're free. - Keep going with your crew. Like it? Join the 3-month founding crew on the day,
and we'll place you with 4 to 5 people at your pace.
What to expect
At the kickoff: everyone shares what they're working towards, then talks it through 1-on1 with a partner who asks the good questions. You'll swap partners, poke a few holes,
and tighten the plan.
With your crew: there's no awkward picking your own group, because we match you on
your goal, check-in style and availability. You'll have a crew chat with check-ins daily,
weekly or somewhere in between, monthly themed meetups in November and
December built around where people get stuck, and a January finale to celebrate the
wins, the flops and everything you learned. Meetup and finale dates are still to be
confirmed.
Agenda
• 10:00 am to 10:15 am | Meet the crew and grab a coffee
• 10:15 am to 10:20 am | Walk together to the park
• 10:20 am to 10:45 am | Share your side quest | Everyone says what they're
building, or finally ready to begin.
• 10:45 am to 11:20 am | Plan it, 1-on-1 | Shape your side quest into a focused
plan with a real deadline, with a partner who asks the good questions.
• 11:20 am to 11:45 am | Swap partners and pressure-test | Poke holes, then
tighten the plan.
• 11:45 am to 12:00 pm | Commit | Say your deadline out loud, and hear how the
3-month crews work if you want to keep going.
