Hike 100 Challenge: M-186 to Muncie Lake Pathway Trailhead

Join Nancy Briggs and the Grand Traverse Chapter of the North Country Trail Association on a 9.3 mile hike of specular forest and waterways.
We will meet at the Muncie Lakes Trailhead parking lot at 10:00 am on May 10th. There is a pit toilet available and plenty of parking. From there, we will shuttle about 13 miles to the start of the hike on M186 near Fife Lake. After hiking, drivers will be needed to shuttle hikers back to their cars, but the rest can return home from Muncie Lake Parking Lot.

Please bring a sandwich, energy bar or gorp, and at least 1/2 liter of water. Wear good hiking boots. Gators and poles are optional. Bug/tick spray is always a good idea!
We will start together and will regroup as needed and lunch together.
Hike will be until about 3 pm which would be about 2.5 miles per hour.

We will wander through the Valley of the Giants, near pristine rivers and hills and valleys!
