What we’re about

We are a very active social community dedicated to food, drinks, arts and culture in the Washington, DC metro area.  We organize a variety of events, some off the beaten path that will create many fun and new experiences for our members.

We have been organizing social and cultural events around the DMV for over 5 years, and our blog shares interesting topics on food and drinks, from around the world, with emphasis on food pairing, history, culture and traditions.

As many of our members are travelers, we also share notes and experiences from the different places we have visited in the DMV and around the world through the Things to Do Project.

About Things to Do Project : http://www.grapesandgrains.org/p/thingstodo.html

Our events are typically limited to smaller group sizes, as we seek to create quality events and meaningful friendships among our group members.

OUR MOTTO - "Life is too short and time is too precious to waste on bad food, drink or company."

For 2018, we have planned wine, beer and whisk(e)y tastings, wine-paired dinners, trips to local wineries, breweries and distilleries, besides events with local artists and art communities (jazz, opera, local theater, art galleries etc.) in the DMV metro area.

In the pursuit of finding your "Grape or Grain", discover new tastes, make new friends and enjoy some of the diverse culinary aspects of our city.

Let's swirl, sip, and have fun!
