Yay! We are back for another event at Microsoft Reactor SF! If you haven't joined yet this will be a great opportunity to meet and greet one of the largest GraphQL communities in the world! ✨🦄
For this event we are going for a long talk format and longer socialising. Our one and only speaker will be Max Stoiber from Stellate talking about how to rate limit your public facing GraphQL APIs! Looking forward to learn more about this.

• How to rate limit GraphQL APIs (by Max Stoiber)
Max is co-founder of Stellate. Previously, he worked at Gatsby, and before that GitHub, who acquired his last startup. He's most widely known for creating open source projects used by millions of developers, including styled-components and react-boilerplate.
In this talk, Max will look into how rate limiting can protect you from scrapers trying to download all your data, downtime due to traffic spikes, exploding serverless infrastructure costs, and broken SLA terms. GraphQL's unique flexibility and network layer mean existing rate limiting solutions don't quite work for many of these use cases. He will go over lessons learned about rate limiting GraphQL APIs at scale at Stellate.
