WELCOME to all New and Previous Drummers! These Meet-Ups will be for those that are either beginning drummers / percussionists and those who already play! All are welcome to these events, perfect for ages 7 to 107 years old.

We now have a location for this years events, located just off of Brunswick Rd and Hwy 49 in Grass Valley. It is in the rear building of Lake Olympia Business Park, just minutes from Nevada City and about an hour from Sacramento! Drum Classes and Circles will be held weekly starting generally from 6:30 or 7 pm and embrace the music and joy that hand drumming creates.

My drum classes will focus on all the material in both chapters of Volume 1 of my e-book, "Road to Rhythm - Stepping Stones to Percussive Mastery", developed over my 30+ years of studying and playing percussion and hand drums. Also included is what I've learned from studying drum circle facilitation with the leading founder of Village Music Circles, Arthur Hull for nearly 100 days in beautiful Hawaii and California.
We also offer drum lessons from local educator Kit Bailey focusing on rhythms from Africa.

Starting late May of 2026, I will be hosting fun, vibrant and interactive hand drum classes and facilitated community drum circles. Whether you're an experienced drummer or new to drumming, you are invited to come together to create beautiful rhythms and energizing beats. Let's connect, express ourselves, and embrace the power of music in a welcoming and inclusive environment.

For drumclass, bring your own drum or rent one for just $5-10, depending on the drum. Drums and Percussion gear will be provided for the drum circles. Sorry, no drumsets, keyboards, wind or stringed instruments allowed in these events..
Drum classes and Circles have a $20 fee, Satisfaction is always guaranteed!

Drum rental payments will apply to any retail drum purchase over $100.
Each drum you purchase comes with a free tune-up and instructions on how
to do it yourself. Key-tuned drums all include a tuning key.

A healthy drum circle community supports the belief that each person is as important as anyone else, respecting individuals and the collective whole. These circles allow for all types of rhythms to show up, each unique, bringing us together, regardless of our background, instrument or level of expertise.
