Hyderabad Kayakathon is the first ever Kayakathon event in India and is being hosted by Yacht Club of Hyderabad in association with Great Hyderabad Adventure Club . Lots pf Prizes to be won :-)

About the Kayakathon:
The event is being conducted on the eve of World Tourism Day.
PRIZES: Trophies and medals for the winners.Certificates and T-shirts will be provided for the participating in the Championship.

Kayaking Race course:
A relay race will be organized for participants. Each team will consists of 6 or 10 members with the instructor being the 6th or 10th member. We will form a team if you do not have a team yourself. Participants can pay and attend the practice session if they never kayaked before. This is not a professional race and the first timers are welcome to join and have fun Kayaking in the lake. We'll have 2 rescue boats anytime in the lake.

How fit or skilled do I need to be?
Kayakathon is for everyone who is generally fit and knows how to paddle. It’s accessible to all who wish to take part. You can pay for the practice session to learn the basics if you are kayaking for the first time.
Weight cut-off is 85 kg.
I cannot swim, can I join?
Non-Swimmers can come along, we take special care of non-swimmers so long as you are not afraid of water and can float in a life jacket comfortably without fear and apprehension. The session is for beginners and is recreational in nature.

How will I know where to go on the course?
The course will be marked with signs for easy guidance. Marshals will also be positioned at critical points along the course for extra guidance when it is needed. The trail outline and markings will be discussed at the briefing prior to the commencement of the event.
What do I need for the Event?
Wear some comfortable clothes that you don't mind getting dirty. Carry extra set of clothes, sunscreen, cap, goggles, towel.(please make sure you carry a reusable carry bag to take your wet clothes back home)
Have a light breakfast, and make sure you carry refreshment and drinking water along.
Can I bring my family and friends along to watch?
Yes, we would encourage you to bring your family and friends along to participate or watch you take part.
What are the things provided during the day?
Lite snacks and water will be available for participants.
Arrangement for washrooms and changing of clothes will be there.
1 hour of practice session - 300/-
Registration fee (only for the championship) : 700/-
Spot Registration on the day of event : 800/-
