* Great Hyderabad Adventure Club - GHAC is the Trekking and Adventure Club of Hyderabad that caters to Hiking, Trekking Adventure and Outdoor Adventure Activities all over India. we also conduct Bird Watching and Adventure sports like Bouldering, Rock climbing, Rappelling, Paragliding and White Water Rafting.

GHAC is registered with Govt of India as a Not for Profit Adventure Club and is affiliated to the Indian Mountaineering Foundation (IMF). The Club is open to all and run by trained and experienced professionals and volunteers.

GHAC has been mentioned into the Limca Books of records -2013. The club is growing and is the most active adventure club in India by the sheer number of adventure activities the club does all round the year

* The Club Membership is free and open to everyone above 18 years. Young members above 13 years may participate with parental consent. Children above 6 and upto 12 years may participate along with parents only.

* Safety is priority for us - Our Outdoor Leaders are trained and certified in their respective fields and know first aid and emergency handling. They have significant experience with outdoor activities and work very hard to make each event a safe and enjoyable experience.

Details Goecha La is a high mountain pass in Sikkim, India in the Himalaya range. The southeast face of Mt. Kanchenjunga, the world's third highest mountain, is viewable from the pass, which is also a base camp for those aspiring to scale the mountain. This trek gets as close as possible to the mighty Kangchenjunga which is the third highest mountain in the world at an elevation of 8,586 m (28,169 ft) The Goechala trek starts at Yuksom, a fairly large settlement in West Sikkim. It was once the capital of Sikkim, so the culture in the town shows. It is also a nice quaint hill station and for those who want to avoid the hustle bustle of Darjeeling, Yuksom is a nice gateway. If you are on the Goechala trek there are two important things to do at Yuksom. One, make an entry at the police station. For this you need a photo identity proof with three photo copies. Two, you need to pay the permit fees at the forest check post. Tentative Itinerary (may vary): APR 13: (Reach Bagdogra/NPJ Railway station) before 2pm Day 1. Yuksam -1,780 m. Transfer: NJP to Yuksam - 6 hours Overnight in hotel and Trek starting point. APR 14: Day 2. Tshoka - 3050 m. Trek: Yuksam to Tshoka - 7 hours (12KMS)(2745 mtrs) APR 15: Day 3. View from Fort top At the base of the Mountain is the serene Tungarli Lake surrounded by waterfalls while Kondhavi Caves can be found on top of the fort. There is a beautiful temple of Kal-Bhairavi between the twin forts. The view from top of the Fort is panoramic comprising Ulhās River, Duke’s Nose, Fort View in early morning. Kondhavi Caves Although there was an earth quake in the early 1900s many stupas, the front entrance and the floor of the caves were damaged. Monsoon mania - Trek to Mighty Kalavantin Durg + Prabhalgad

Please read all the details before RSVP'ing for this Event. Kalavantin Durg n Prabhalgad: This is considered as one of the best trekking spots in the Sahyadri mountain range. Difficulty :Moderate-Medium. Only for Ages 18+. Need to be physically fit to climb. Kalavantin Pinnacle is situated on northeast side of Panvel at a height of 2330 ft , on Mumbai-Pune road. Can see it from express highway a V-Shaped one. The Left one is Kalwantin Durg & right side is Prabalgad. The fort top commands an excellent view of the surroundings with Prabalgad in the front. Matheran, Chanderi, Shrimallang, Irshal Karnala, Manikgad, etc can be easily identified.If time permits we will trek Prabalgad as well. --------- Tentative itinerary: Friday- 8.40 PM: Board Mumbai Express from Nampally. Saturday- 11.00 AM: Reach Karjat and get in booked transport and reach the base village Thakurwadi and start trekking to Kalavantin. We will come back and stay at the base.
