Seize the Night : Trekking, Camping,Bonfire @ Rajmachi (VIA Kondhavi Caves)

View from Fort top At the base of the Mountain is the serene Tungarli Lake surrounded by waterfalls while Kondhavi Caves can be found on top of the fort. There is a beautiful temple of Kal-Bhairavi between the twin forts. The view from top of the Fort is panoramic comprising Ulhās River, Duke’s Nose, Fort View in early morning. Kondhavi Caves Although there was an earth quake in the early 1900s many stupas, the front entrance and the floor of the caves were damaged. But what remains intact is the beautiful Chaitya that welcomes you to the rock cut caves that were created around 200 BC -------------------------------------------------- Tentative Plan:: Friday: 20:30hrs: Train from Hyderabad to Karjat Saturday: 11:00 Reach Karjat and take public transport to base. 12:00 Start trek to Rajmachi Fort 1:00 Reach the kondane caves and spend some time. 3.00 start from kondane caves. 9.00 Reach the udhevadi , Camping,Bonfire,Barbecue. Sunday: 07:00 Wake-Up and get ready 06:00 to 11:30 Trek trough the most scenic Route -Ulhas valley and reach Lonavala. 03:00 Start from Lonavala to Hyderabad Monday : Reach Hyderabad by morning ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Cost Breakup : 2600/- Train Fair : 740/- (sleeper Class, Normal Reservation) Local Logistics : 200/- Food Expenses, Stay (tent) : 1000 Misc : 100/- Club Fund : 170/- GST : 130/- (Payable to Govt.) Org Expenses : 260/- -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Cost : 2600/- . We will share the cost if it is more than this , mostly it wont be .. GHAC refund rules apply. Food In trains+ water+any entry tickets if any excluded. Payment Link: Things to bring: [ All are must ] and wrap everything in polythene so that they do not get wet.. 1) A Rucksack / haversack, in other words a bag u can put all your stuff in and hang on your back, try to keep the bag less then 8 kgs with 3 lts water 2) wind cheater/sweater. 3) Trekking /sport shoes with extra pair of socks [Preferably shoes which cover till your ankle] 4) Torch / Flashlight /headlight (we might be doing night trek) 5) 1 track pants/ loose trousers - full length & full sleeve T Shirt and one pair of dry clothes. 6) Mosquito repellent. 7) Toiletries required. 8)ORS/energy drinks and energy bars/chikki's. 9)sun screen lotion and sun cap. 10) Sleeping bags or two blankets are must. 11) Photo Id (any valid card with your photograph and signature on it) 12) Signed Disclaimer form. ----------------------------------------------- Few things in between are not planned and these things are must in an adventure trek. Note: Most of us may not be serious trekkers but all of us have equal responsibility in protecting our beloved earth. GHAC earnestly requests all its members to be socially responsible whilst the treks and avoid any littering, shouting when in wild or causing anything that would disturb the normal ecology. Try to avoid plastics as much as possible, especially plastic smiles. Important Instructions: 1) No smoking and no alcohol 2) No littering, no pollution of water 3) This is not a luxury trip, but all care has been taken to make your trip comfortable 4) Ladies and gents accommodation is separate in tents. 5) Food will be mostly vegetarian 6) We carry Basic First Aid and if you need anything you can ask the organizers 7) If you feel unwell bring to the notice of the organizers immediately. 8) If you can't swim don't go deep into the water Important : Answers all the questions otherwise your RSVP will not be considered NOTE: Event Hosts have all the rights to add or remove any member and do necessary changes in route, activity, time, duration depending on the situations and climate conditions. * Great Hyderabad Adventure Club - GHAC is the Trekking and Adventure Club of Hyderabad and caters to Hiking, Trekking Adventure and Outdoor Adventure Activities all over India. we also conduct Bird Watching and Adventure sports like Bouldering, Rock climbing, Rappelling, Paragliding and White Water Rafting.

GHAC is registered with Govt of India as a Not for Profit Adventure Club and is affiliated to the Indian Mountaineering Foundation. The Club is open to all and run by trained and experienced professionals and volunteers.

GHAC has been mentioned into the Limca Books of records -2013. The club is growing and is the most active adventure club in India by the sheer number of adventure activities the club does all round the year

* The Club Membership is free and open to everyone above 18 years. Young members above 13 years may participate with parental consent. Children above 6 and upto 12 years may participate along with parents only.

* Safety is priority for us - Our Outdoor Leaders are trained and certified in their respective fields and know first aid and emergency handling. They have significant experience with outdoor activities and work very hard to make each event a safe and enjoyable experience.
