Sudhaghad fort: The fort of Sudhagad is said to be of 2nd Century BC. The fort was also called as Bhorapgad. In the year 1436 the fort was captured by Bahamani Sultan. After that in the year 1657 the Marathas captured the fort and renamed it as "Sudhagad". The fort was too large and Shivaji Maharaj had considered it as the capital of the Kingdom. The 'Pantsachivas' of Bhor became the protector of the fort in the rule of Peshwas. On the fort there are two temples dedicated to Lord Shiva and also there is a temple of Bhoraidevi which is well maintained. On the large plateau there are two lakes, a big granary, a house, a temple, some tombs and other remnants on the fort. On the fort there are three main gates in that there is a large gate called as Maha Darwaja. From the fort other forts can be seen such as Korigad, Sarasgad, Ghangad and Taila-Baila Tentative Itinerary: Day 1: Fri 8:30 pm : Catch train to Lonavala (Mumbai Express) Day 2 : Sat 10:30 AM : Reach Lonavala Sat 1 PM : Reach Thakurwadi (Base village) Sat 5 PM : Reach peak and camp Day 3 : Sun 5 AM: wake up call and small trek around until sunrise. Sun 10AM : Start to Lonavala Sun 12PM : Reach Lonavala Sun 1 PM: Catch train to Hyderabad Day 4: Mon 7:50 AM : Reach Hyderabad , Adios and back to work! Note: Most of us may not be serious trekkers but all of us have equal responsibility in protecting our beloved earth. GHAC earnestly requests all its members to be socially responsible whilst the treks and avoid any littering, shouting when in wild or causing anything that would disturb the normal ecology. Try to avoid plastics as much as possible, especially plastic smiles. * Great Hyderabad Adventure Club - GHAC is the Trekking and Adventure Club of Hyderabad that caters to Hiking, Trekking Adventure and Outdoor Adventure Activities all over India. we also conduct Bird Watching and Adventure sports like Bouldering, Rock climbing, Rappelling, Paragliding and White Water Rafting.

GHAC is registered with Govt of India as a Not for Profit Adventure Club and is affiliated to the Indian Mountaineering Foundation (IMF). The Club is open to all and run by trained and experienced professionals and volunteers.

GHAC has been mentioned into the Limca Books of records -2013. The club is growing and is the most active adventure club in India by the sheer number of adventure activities the club does all round the year

* The Club Membership is free and open to everyone above 18 years. Young members above 13 years may participate with parental consent. Children above 6 and upto 12 years may participate along with parents only.

* Safety is priority for us - Our Outdoor Leaders are trained and certified in their respective fields and know first aid and emergency handling. They have significant experience with outdoor activities and work very hard to make each event a safe and enjoyable experience.

* Our Mission is to get people together for the purposes of:

• Character Building, Leadership and Youth Development

• Nature Awareness, Care and Conservation
