Beginner's Slacklining @ Botanical Gardens

Botanical Gardens

Lets do Slacklining. What Is Slacklining: If you’ve ever wanted to walk a tightrope high above the circus floor but got nervous just thinking about it, slacklining may be for you. (This is not a one day do activity, it's an adventure sport. It takes time to learn and perform) Slacklining is an increasingly popular sport in the balancing arts, involves walking across a bouncy, highly-tensioned, single piece of webbing that may be only a couple inches off the ground. Most of us have an inner equilibrium that can enable us to perform extraordinary balancing feats, but getting up on the line can still be scary. Remember how intimidating it seemed to balance on a bicycle without training wheels? Now think how easy it turned out to be. Walking a slackline just takes confidence and a bit of practice. Chanakya walking on a 40ft length slackline: https://youtu.be/1Go_rydm__Y What we do: We will learn the basic technique, rules and balancing More details: http://epaper.telanganatoday.com/Sunday%20Scape/2019-02-17/TGTODAY_SND/4#Page/4 Instructions: =>Come in loose comfortable clothing. Parkour , Freerunning, gymnastics &Crosstraining @ Abhinav parkour n freerunnin

location- 17°27'13.9"N 78°23'15.4"E https://maps.app.goo.gl/eR7if Madhapur Parkour is a method of physical training that develops one’s ability to overcome obstacles (both physical and mental). It involves movement that will help if one is in a reach or escape emergency situation. Underpinning this is a philosophy of altruism and useful strength, longevity, self-improvement and self-understanding. It help you overcome physical and mental obstacles (eg. fear). If you don’t train parkour in practice emergency situations then when you have a real emergency situation you are paralysed by fear. The best way to overcome the fear of a real emergency situation is to train in practice emergency situations. This is why parkour only involves training efficient (reach and escape) movements and not flips, because you only use efficient movements in a real emergency situation.” Free-Running is a physical and mental art/discipline in which Free-Runner’s train with the intent to develop their mind and body in order to overcome and/or interact with obstacles in urban and natural environments in the most intelligent and physically challenging manner. Free-Running requires... consistent, disciplined training focused toward functional strength, conditioning, expansion of the mental and physical capabilities, creativity, spatial awareness and, looking beyond the traditional use of objects. Free-Running movements include ... running, balance, vaulting, rolling, climbing, and jumping. Movements from other physical disciplines are often used. Acrobatic movements can be used but are not the primary focus, therefore acrobatics and tricking alone do not constitute Free-Running. There is no single movement that constitutes Free-Running, the reason for that is there are an infinite amount of situations you can be found in. The choice of movements is purely personal; furthermore a Free-Runner should be able to distinguish what is effective and what is expressive at the time in which the movement is most appropriate. Efficiency… must be a balance of speed, conservation of energy, and safety. The balance of these three is to be decided as situations present themselves. Efficiency relates to the idea of overcoming obstacles. Creativity… excludes excessive Tumbling and Tricking. Since wall-flips interact with an obstacle they are can be considered Free-Running movements, as previously stated creativity relates to interacting with obstacles. Parkour and Freerunning – These are not the same thing. They are not interchangeable terms. They are quite different from each other in their purpose and goals. Practitioners of Parkour are called Traceurs, Freerunning practitioners are called Freerunners, the terms Freerunner and Traceur are not interchangeable.
