Resembling the mouth of a cow, Gomukh Glacier is one of the main water sources of the holy Ganges. Around the glacier, one can also view the peaks - Shivling, Thalay Sagar, Meru, and Bhagirathi III. Weather (Mid Sep — End of Oct) The weather is stable and a few degrees colder. The days are at 15 °C. But temperature quickly drops as below as (-3°C to -5 °C) zero after the sun down.The region gets its first snowfall of the season sometime around early to mid-October. *Prior trek experience is Mandatory. Beginners with good fitness are welcome* Backup Trek: In case of cancellation of 'Gaumukh Tapovan trek we will be going to another trek. Please be open for any kind of surprises considering current uncertain situations.
