About us
Welcome to the Great Ideas Book Club - a community reading Great Books, exploring how they can shape our understanding of the world and of human nature. Join us as we explore influential books of the past and present, while building social connections along the way. This community reads widely, and hopefully learns how to live a good life through thoughtful discussion and debate about Great Ideas found in these books. We thrive on learning and exploring ideas through reading and discussion with people, and we also enjoy a good social event.
Each month we read a core book and explore a curated selection of additional materials to enrich our journey through the theme of the month - including essays, lectures, podcasts, plays, film, poetry, and fine art. The club offers interactive online monthly events, weekly seminars, and in-person social events. All events are hosted. All global time-zones are supported.
Continue the conversation in our online Club Chatrooms and member messaging features. Share your reading experiences within the community and form friendships with fellow members. Connect via our web interface or mobile app at any time.
