This is one of the classic hikes in the Greater Stuttgart area and a superb opportunity to celebrate the fine spring weather predicted for this Thursday.
'Siebenmühlental' means Valley of Seven Mills. Many of them have stopped milling grain, and some have been converted to restaurants with beer gardens over time, due to the area's popularity with hikers.
What should keep us going is the prospect of eventually reaching the Ritter Sport factory with museum and outlet in Waldenbuch, where we can pick to our heart's delight from their phenomenal variety of square choc, or maybe just relax in the café.
We will return by bus from Waldenbuch to Leinfelden (- Stuttgart Hbf).
