Fun, Fitness, and Friendship - The Victoria Pathfinders Walking Club (a Volkssport club) has been offering a variety of walks throughout Greater Victoria since 1989. Most of our walks are 10 km in length, with 5 km options on our weekend walks. To enjoy our walks you should be comfortable walking five kilometers in an hour or 10 km in two hours. Our walks start promptly at 10:00 a.m. so we would appreciate you arriving by 9:45 a.m. for registration.
Regular walkers do not necessarily indicate their attendance on Meetup, but our weekday walks typically attract 10 to 12 people; on weekends typical attendance is between 15 and 40 people.
If you would like to explore parts of Greater Victoria you never knew existed with friendly people who will welcome you to the group, then our walks are for you. You will be required to pay a participation fee of $1 or $2 depending on the walk. We charge this small fee to offset our costs. Annual membership is $10. (Walkers who have paid the $10 annual membership fee can purchase discount cards – 20 walks for $10 – that can be used for any $1 walk.)

Meet at John Dean Park, 1515 McTavish Road, Saanich V8L 5T3. Registration opens at 9:30 am and closes at 9:55 am. The walk starts at 10:00 am.
The distance for this walk is 7 km and it is rated 3C. (Click here for an explanation of walk ratings.) The walk will take about 2.5 hours to complete. A walk guide and a sweep will be provided. This walk goes through forests with a few great viewpoints. Sturdy shoes and hiking poles are recommended.

Meet at Henderson Recreation Center, 2291 Cedar Hill X Road, Saanich V8P 5H9. Please park on the street; not in the parking lot. Registration starts at 9:30 am and closes at 9:50 am. The walk starts at 10:00 am.
We have selected the Mystic Vale routes which visit the beautiful Mystic Vale and other lovely trails and gardens on the UVic campus. The 10 km route also passes through Gyro Park and the Queen Alexandra Centre. Note that, due to construction in Cadboro Bay, there is a temporary bypass around the construction.
