Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore Munising Michigan Hiking Adventure Weekend

Posting this for a feel of how many people would be interested in spending a weekend at Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. I've hiked there a few times but would love to go back again. We had a trip planned in 2022 that was cancelled so I guess it is about time to make it happen.

I've found a few places to stay that range from 4 to 16 beds and I try to keep the price for lodging below 60 dollars per person per night. The places in that area seem to be mainly old houses that are converted into Airbnb type structures. Meaning, everyone's beds could be in one room. One place, I'm looking into has 15 beds, in 3 bedrooms. 2.5 baths. Just an example. Also, you don't have to stay with us. Find your own place and come join the hikes. There are all types of places to stay in the area from campgrounds to single cabins but prices vary. I try to keep the price down.

I setup weekend trips to stay busy most of the time we are there. I always put out a itinerary of what the entire weekends plan is. You are welcome to do 1 hike or come along for everything I have listed. Up to you on how active you want to be. We normally come together in the evening at least once for a group dinner or to sit around a camp fire.

Plan would be check in Friday afternoon and leave Monday morning by 8:30am.

Friday 26th

Check in cabin after 3pm

7 PM Dinner at Bear Trap Inn

Saturday 27th

7:30 am leave for Mosquito Falls & Chapel Falls Loop, 11 miles, 750 ft elevation, Easy to Moderate (I promise the distance is worth it, even if you've never hiked this far before with a little practice it will be a piece of cake)

Miners Falls, 1.2 Miles, Easy

Miners Castle, 0.5 miles, Easy

Munising Visitor Center

Dinner in Munising

5:45 Pictured Rocks Sunset cruise to Spray falls 54 dollars, optional

7:45 drive back to lodging

Sunday 28th

7:30 am Drive to Beaver Lake & Little Beaver Lake Superior Trail Loop with Big Star Cove, 6 Miles, Flat, Easy

Lake Superior Overlook to Eat Lunch with a view.

Au Sable Points Lighthouse, 3.2 Miles, Flat, easy, Light house tours, shipwrecks

Sable Falls, Sable Beach, Rock Beach 0.6 miles, stairs but great views

Dinner Grand Marais or at Cabin.
