10 Mile Mohican Gorge, Shelter and Mountain Bike Loop Hike

Intermediate hike due to distance. Speed will be around 2.5 mph
Hike #1
10 mile, 1400 ft Elevation. Start point is at the Gorge Overlook overflow Parking. This is down road past the bathroom at the Overlook area where the road dead ends into a parking lot with picnic tables.
The hike will go down the park road and hop on the bridle trail and then we will follow the mountain bike trail to the covered bridge. From the covered bridge we will follow the shelter trail to the east end and then Hemlock trail along the river. Cross the swinging bridge and up the ladder side of the Gorge trail returning to the parking lot.
Bring snacks and water. Trekking poles recommended . Dress appropriately for the weather.
Bathroom at start point and a couple more places scattered on trail. No water sources on trail.
