Day trip to Great Seal State Park.
Great Seal State Park is a 1,682-acre state park located north of Chillicothe in Ross County, Ohio. The park encompasses hilly, forested terrain in the Scioto River valley; it takes its name from the Great Seal of the State of Ohio, as its landscape inspired the seal's design.
Exploring another Ohio State park this weekend. The trail is listed as Shawnee Ridge Loop on all trails and is rated Hard, 12.2 Miles, 2043 ft elevation gain, and takes 6.5 hours. Add another 30 minutes for lunch on the trail will put us at 7 hours for the hike.
The Start point is near Vista Shelter and that is the parking lot you will be looking for.
