Data @ Community Solutions - Ending Homelessness Now
Date: Wednesday, February 16 (virtual)
Time: 7pm - 8pm

The number of Americans living without homes, in shelters, or on the streets continues to rise at an alarming rate, an issue exacerbated by the pandemic. Key contributors to the issue include a shortage of affordable housing and a simultaneous increase in poverty, but also poor coordination of services, poor data on the actual dimensions of the problem and what interventions are effective, and the lack of accountability for results. Homelessness is a human rights, public health and racial justice issue, with devastating consequences for children and families.

Join Data + the Greater Good on Wednesday, February 16, 7pm, for a discussion with Rosanne Haggerty, President of Community Solutions. Community Solutions is a non- profit based in New York City whose mission is to end homelessness by partnering with cities and counties to build accountability for results. Community Solutions is demonstrating that homelessness is a solvable problem. With data - driven approaches, Community Solutions has proven homelessness can be rare and brief. It has transformed the lives of thousands across the country through its Built for Zero movement of more than 90 cities and counties working to end homelessness.

Rosanne Haggerty, President of Community Solutions, will discuss:
-why homelessness is a data problem
-building accountable homelessness response systems
-creating more affordable housing
