What we're about

This Meditation Meetup is designed for people interested in connecting with others in the community who share their interest in meditation. It is a good fit for everyone ranging from novices seeking support in starting a meditation practice to experienced meditation practitioners who enjoy the power and inspiration of group meditation.

While group meditation had taken place in person at the Resiliency Center in Flourtown prior to the pandemic, group meditation is currently offered online. Meditation leaders are independent volunteers with their own meditation practices. They are offering their time freely in support of creating greater peace and connection in the world.

Sunday morning meditation

Link visible for attendees

Join Andrea McGady for this Sunday morning group meditation - online from the comfort of your home. Meditation can be described as "an abiding in one's natural state, without mental complications." During these group meditations, we will be cultivating and sharing clarity and compassion---an unfolding awareness and mindfulness---which may be summed up with this simple expression: A knowing of things as they are. The morning meditation may include guided practice, meditation exercises, and/or silent meditation, followed by time for reflection. Participants are welcome to share in the reflective time following the meditation - or to observe silence.
Coming together as a community in meditation is a powerful way to promote inner peace and contribute to greater peace in the world.
