Join us for an intriguing evening where you'll discover the difference between subject and object based photography.
What!?
I know, I didn't understand this when it was first explained to me. However, once I got it, it opened up a whole new world of possibilities - that had been hiding in plain sight. Now, I want to share this with you so you can have the wonderful experience I have when taking photographs.
As an added bonus, we'll explore the work of someone who, in my opinion, could have been the greatest photographer in the history of photography. However, he was murdered by the Nazis.
Through this program, I wish to help other's see the greatness of his work and keep his name alive. His name was Imre Kinszki. One of his photographs is used in the banner image for this event.
I realize this description seems a little out there, however, I promise this will not be a waste of your time.
You'll come away with some insights that will improve your picture taking and you'll experience the pleasure of looking at and discussion great photographs!
No experience, previous knowledge or still photographic equipment is required. This event is for anyone interested in photography.
Please feel free to invite a guest to attend with you.
Agenda:
- Introductions - Something about yourself
- Core Content - Subject vs Object based photography - Imre Kinszki
- Discussion - Open conversation - thoughts on the content
Optional - People join Meetups in part to meet other people, however, it can be challenging to do this during the event. I'd like to offer a new opportunity, a new way for participants to interact. As an idea, at the end of the program I can put everyone on mute and suggest that we say hello to another participant through the Zoom Chat. Take a few minutes to get to type 'hi' and briefly chat to a co-participant. If you wish to continue the conversation after the event you can exchange contact info or use the Meetup Connections feature which permit mutually interested participants to connect online after the event.
This way participants can more easily make meaningful connections with others.
If you have any comments or suggestions, please write in the Meetup Chat.
I look forward to seeing you there!
MeetUp is a great place to meet and interact with like-minded people. To make this a better experience for your co-participants please have your web camera and microphone on for this event.
To reduce 'Zoom Bombing' incidents please ensure the name you go by on Meetup is the same as (or close to) the name you go by in Zoom. At the time of this event I will manually check each name in the Zoom waiting room and only give access to those whose names match in both Meetup and Zoom. Feel free to drop me a note if your Zoom and Meetup names are different so I can be awaree of it when admitting registrants into to event.
If you register for this event but cannot attend, please let me know.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask in the chat.
