DC Greek Language Meetup

Γιασσας! Hope our παρέα is doing well. Our next MeetUp is our annual celebration of Greek Independence Day, which we will observe on Thursday, March 27th at 7:30 pm at The Parthenon. I hope you can join us to toast the Motherland.

There are a few other events worth noting:

• Georgetown's Modern Greek Studies Program and a host of other Greek-American organizations will screen the film "Venizelos: The Struggle for Asia Minor" on Thursday, March 13th, at 5:30 pm, in Georgetown's Lohrfink Auditorium at 37th and O Streets NW. RSVP to dccretans@gmail.com.
• The Hellenic Society Prometheas invites us to their annual Greek Independence Day celebration, on Saturday, March 29th at St. George’s Founders Hall in Bethesda. More information can be found at Prometheas’ website.
• The Congressional Salute to Greek Independence, sponsored by the American Hellenic Institute, will be held on Wednesday, April 2nd, at 5:30, in room 2200 of the Rayburn House Office Building.
