About us
Tired of driving into Portland for Jewish community? Does your queer or interfaith Jewish family want to celebrate with other progressive Jews without having to drive an hour to some of the shuls? If you are interested in sharing shabbat suppers, holidays & services in east county let me know! Depending on interest, we'll plan a gathering in May to vision together.

4th Friday Shabbat Supper
Gresham, OR, USJoin us on the 4th Friday of each month, as we wind down from the week and invite spirit into our weekend through blessing, sharing a meal and conversation. You do not need to be Jewish to participate. We especially welcome LGBTQ+ folk & allies, as well as interfaith and SBNR folk.
We provide the entree, challah and grape juice; you bring a side dish or dessert to share.
Please note, we have an immunocompromised family member, so masks are required in the house, but not on the covered and heated patio, where we hold events. RSVP to rivka@shelterforthespirit.com to get the physical address (which I don't share on social media.)
