Let's have a very special meeting this September: we're going to Culatra Island!
Taking advantage of the milestone of Sustainability Day, we're heading straight to the wonderful Culatra Island, where we'll have the opportunity to learn about the "Culatra 2030" project.
The "Culatra 2030" project is a remarkable initiative by the CIMA team from the University of the Algarve, in collaboration with local associations. Its goal is to make the island the first 100% sustainable and energy-independent community in Portugal. The focus is on energy transition, with the installation of solar panels and other eco-friendly solutions to improve the quality of life for residents and preserve the unique environment of the Ria Formosa.
Once we arrive at Culatra Island, the meeting point is at 3:30 PM at the ticket office.
One of the project managers for Culatra 2030 will lead a guided tour for us.
